Help. Having Trouble with Wifi on X-A1

I just got a Fuji XA-1. I'm having trouble getting the wifi going.

I downloaded the Fuji camera application on both the Ipad 4 and the Iphone 5. I tap connect, and also tap the wifi button on the X-A1. The Fuji says it is searching, but it never locates either the Iphone or the Ipad. The Iphone/Ipad don't see the Fuji either.

I also tried going through the playback menu on the Fuji, but it still won't work.

I typed in the router info for my router (password).  The X-A1 refuses to connect.  I re-typed the password just in case I had a typo the first time.  It refuses to connect.   I need help, or Fuji needs a firmware upgrade --- or hopefully not...I have a dead wireless in the X-A1.

I'm having similar problems.  Did you get a solution?

press wifi on your x camera , then open wifi the on your tablet and tap connect once your fuji camera appears on available wifi connection once connected, only then open your app to connect to your camera in this order...

Yes.  The problem is you are trying to connect your camera as a client to the local wifi.  Camera wifi works by connecting your phone or tablet device to the camera as a client.

Step One:  Turn on WIFI on camera.

Step Two:  Connect WIFI on device to WIFI on camera.

Step Three:  Open app and connect to camera.

The Olympus software works the same way except you have to register your camera with the device first, which requires another couple steps.

You don't have to be inside a wireless network otherwise the wifi link between camera and smartphone doesn't work...

I have found that I was having trouble connecting an iPhone to the X-T1's wi-fi until I pressed the OK/Menu button while the phone was trying to connect. The OK button, while the phone is trying to connect has the word "Change" next to it. When you click the OK button, the OK button function becomes "Transmit". Click it again, and my phone connects to the camera Wi-Fi and I can use the app to control the camera.

At first, I could only connect my iPad. By clicking the OK button "Change", then "Transmit", things work. I hope you are able to get things to work.

For anyone using an X30 and having problems!

Do not install the Fujifilm Camera Application - instead go to your X30 manual and go to page 44. Scan the QR code and that takes you to the Fujifilm Camera Remote app which is you download does work.

I just googled 'Fujifilm app' when I got my X30 and installed the only one that came up - but actually that one isn't compatible with the X30.

Hope that helps someone - took me an hour to work that out!

Yes sir! I thought the camera had something wrong with it until I read your comment.

One must go to Fuji,

then the Apple store,

then WiFi on camera

then launch app

then hit OK on camera!
