C&C - First Shots with the X100S
9

A few shots taken today with the X100S. Mostly shot at f/4 and in RAW; then post processed in Lightroom and Photoshop. I fell in love with this camera in no time. I will attach the 28mm adapter tomorrow and will see how good it is.

Hi Ryan,

I'm interested in what you didn't like. Is it because of composition, it doesn't speak to you or the colors, ... anyway I'm always keen to learn based on the feedback people leave and I don't mind having one telling me things the way he / she feels even if I don't like the outcome

My x100s is at ups facility. Waiting for kids to go to bed to pick it up. So excited. Nice pics. I like the simplicity of blue sky with hint of building.

The 2nd and 3rd shot were not my favorite, mainly subject matter reasons and I do not care for the composition of the all blue with just the tip of the building.

I would call them a Ice Cream shot, you either like strawberry or you do not.

The rest I like especially the shadow shot

Re: C&C - First Shots with the X100S

Nice to see some real creativity on this forum. Most "1st shots" are of a cat, or a statue on a shelf... these are well thought out, and quite different from the norm. Love the eye, blue sky, shadow and pattern wall! Good stuff.

Beautifully done. I just got an X100s as well.  It's a beautiful machine, and always a pleasure to see what can be done with it.  Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you very much for all the feedback. I really enjoy shooting with this little camera. It just makes you think an watch a bit more around you. At least I feel this way much more than with my former DSLR kits.

A new set of pictures. I'm playing with the Replichrome presets from Totally Rad and I love them. Great results so far. Especially in black and white. All taken with the X100S of course.
