Low priced gem
This was my first macro lens many years ago when I used a Canon 40D - the EFS 60mm f2.8 is a low priced gem; two years ago I bought one new for my son and paired it with a used Canon 50D. A year later, my gift had not been used being too much to carry around and was returned to me; before selling it, I used the combo for a week - some quick snapshots are in my gallery. I am now a Nikon FX user, but this is still a fun lens that I would recommend to any Canon DX user looking for a portable, inexpensive, sharp, and reasonably fast focusing and for close-ups, easy to manual focus lens.

I agree, the 60mm Macro is a great lens. Sometimes I get a little frustrated with the short working distance (especially trying to take pictures of bugs), but it is ridiculously sharp.
There is no such thing as "Canon DX"!
