Quite an impressive effect - and lovely colours in your photographs.  If you have Photoshop you can increase the watercolour effect by adding virtual dried paint edges using the photocopy filter, and paper texture either by using the sandstone texture in the Texturizer filter or the Reticulation filter.  There are other things you can do but the out-of-camera wet-in-wet paint look is pleasing as it is.

Amazing!

Did you just use the water colour effect and then standard settings for this or how did you do it? My camera will arrive this week and I'm really eager to try this.

Bra jobbat Elaka Farmor!

Thanks for the kind replies!

I use manual mode (some of them are in HDR). Then after, when I´m pleased with a photo, I go to menu and create a watercolor effect of the picture I want. By creating the effect AFTERWARDS I have full manual controls the moment I take the photo.

Very lovely effect.   I enjoyed them all.

Does the RX100 keep both the original image as well as the one made of watercolor effect on the memory card?

Thanks for posting.

Regards.

Was that done with a built in special filter??

These are wonderful.  I'd be interested in seeing originals, if possible.  Down here near Los Angeles there is generally very little fall color except for decorative trees  and some in the mountain areas.  But nothing like one sees in colder weather areas.

Thanks for the nice replies

These are made in the camera (watercolor effect") and I thought the the original photos are boring in comparison, so I deleted most of them them

You can have both original and the watercolor effect photo IF you first take a normal photo and afterwards do a watercolor effect of that photo (in the camera).

I considerED this effect a gimmick until I saw your photos

None of the sample images I saw in the reviews looked even a tiny bit as compelling as yours, so I never even tried watercolor effect myself...

Many thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.

Re: I considerED this effect a gimmick until I saw your photos

I'm quite besotted by the PhotoEffects of this little camera.

You can use the effect again and again to alter the image ;  great for wall  posters.

Very nice, thanks for posting. I particularly like the ones with shadows on buildings as part of the image.

Fall is coming here soon, I hope I remember to try this. Any tips?

hello,

re your comment.   How can you use effect again and again on the same image?

I thought it is a "one and done" effect on the unaltered Jpeg or RAW.

can you explain your technique for making multiples?

thanks.

I only use the Picture effects in playback mode to convert normal jpegs.

When looking at your new Watercolor image in camera playback , go to menu / picture effects and repeat watercolor or illustration again.

Repeat the exercise until you get an effect you like. Each image is slightly different from the one before with a considerable colour shift

Fantastic.  I normally hate stuff like this.  You've made me reconsider.
