Have you seen the Delta Wing race car yet?
I was able to get some snaps of the Delta Wing coupe at the ALMS race at COTA in Austin yesterday. I thought some of you might like to see it. Basically, a sort of triangle shape to it. Yes, I know I could use a slower shutter speed in order to illustrate the speed, but I have had trouble in the past getting the cars to be sharp when doing so.
It's not clear to me what its advantage is supposed to be. I don't see how it can have as much cornering grip as the cars with the front wheels farther outside the center line of the car.
I went and found a video about it after seeing your photos. The lack of an inside wheel creating friction when cornering looks to be the biggest advantage, besides looking cool.
