Clipped highlights in D800 viewfinder.

When I owned the D700 I was able to see in the viewfinder when the highlights were being clipped and overexposed because it would blink.  I'm not sure how to turn that function on for the D800.  If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Try pressing the up and down controls in review mode. that switches modes.

I don't remember if you have to enable them first.

Hi, I don't know about the viewfinder but on the rear LCD monitor you can see the "blinkies" by pressing the up arrow on the multi selector 5 times when reviewing images. This is where i normally leave it.

Oh sorry I meant the LCD not the viewfinder.  Yeah I think pressing up does it.  For some reason I didn't think of that...lol

There is a menu setting for the displays available in playback. Make sure that display option is checked.
