RX100/2 Flash in hot shoe?
How do you avoid build-in flash to pup up and hit a low flash in the hot shoe?
Can't find any possibilities in the menu.
The contacts in the hot shoe are always active when the camera is turned on, so if you put an external flash in it, it will fire every time you trip the shutter, so you need to turn the built-in flash off from it's menu setting to stop it popping up.
Hope this helps
Wireless Flash with the RX-100 MK II?
Truth is a pathless land.
The dead past darkens the ever living present.
Corrections and critics are more than very welcome, desirables.
I am having the same problem- the internal flash fires AND the hot shoe flash fires when it is connected. Turning the flash off in the menu does not fix the problem, it just turns off all the flashes.
Hi Bill Bill
I haven't got a Sony dedicated flash, so i've only tried it with my old flash e.g= Metz 34 CS-2 digital, this works all time, even with the built-in flash turned off, sorry if this confused the issue.
