Very scarce.  I found mine about a month ago on ebay.  Like new w/grip.  I haven't seen any for sale at B&H or KEH in quite a while.  You might try Adorama, but I'm always a little hesitant to purchase from them.

Seen one for about 900 at the 4/3 site the other day. When they get to >600 I'll snap up one for sure.

You can't have mine.    I am sure they will be out and about soon, if not already.

I have purchased from Adorama on several occasions, with no problems thus far.  That only speaks for my experience.

Re: used E-5's

You can't have mine!  And do not assume that the price will drop because:

1) It is an excellent camera - I still use mine even though I have an E-M5 and will get the E-M1.

2) It is the last of the 43 cameras (and the best one) and may only stay at current pricing levels even in used condition as long as there is a demand for it.

used E-5 soon

Hi

It might seem sacrilege but if I get my act together my E 5 and the rest will come up very soon.

Some might remember my dilemma whether to buy the E5 for my theatre work in 2010.  I got it and it did my opera shoots proud.

But I bought 4/3 for compactness and the E5 is just too big for me.  I now have the Em5, Ep5, 7-14,12-35, 35-100, 17 f1.8 & 45 f1.8.  With the 'certainty' of m4/3, I've been brave enough to get a much more complete system. The compactness is wonderful.

It's finally time to start parting with my 4//3's gear.  I probably should have done it 6 months ago.

At this stage, I'm not sure about the Em1, 12-40 and 40-150. The Pany zooms are so compact.  I may keep my 50 macro for macro and the 50-200SWD for long tele.

Cheers

Re: used E-5's

I have two E-5s packed up for shipment to KEH tomorrow so there will be at least two there soon . One has 12752 clicks and the other has a minty fresh 5709 clicks. I also have two E-1s heading there as well. One has 25820 clicks and the other has 7893 clicks. I never did learn to machine-gun my E-Xs  .

Best,

Ed

Open to Kind Hearted donations

If you are a willing E-5 donor, I am a willing E-5 recipient (hint hint)  I take real good care of my donor organs and even use them regularly.

Hi John,

I went Fuji (X100S and XPro-1) a few months back and the Olys have been sitting around feeling like they lost a friend. I miss the E-system weatherproofing and the big flippy screen on the E-5  once-in-a-while but I don't miss the weight at all.

Fuji makes some nice lenses and the ui resonates with an old-school film shooter like me. I even get to use my old cable releases again  .

misc recent mostly color stuff

misc black & white travel stuff

Best,

Ed

Re: used E-5's

Just sold mine....apparently for not enough money either.   Incredibly hard to part with it.

Moving on to the e-m1 as I. Love shooting with my rm5.

My 12-60 is back in business.
