2013 Olympus Visionaries

(Also posted to Olympus DSLR Forum)

Just announced on Facebook. Some Pulitzer Prize winners, other award winners, and the curious thing that most of them are using m4/3. Consider, then, that if the majority of Olympus Visionaries are using m4/3, is it any wonder that could extrapolate into a very low demand for an E5 successor that is 4/3, at least from Olympus's point of view.

If, in my lifetime, I will have produced just one image that makes a real difference in the life of another, I will have achieved my highest goal as a photographer.

Looks like all the female visionaries jumped ship or were tossed overboard.

Funny, that was my first thought, too.  Particularly odd for m4/3 that they couldn't have at least one female.

It all depends on if any women applied, and met the criteria. They've cut back on the number of Visionaries too. A few years ago there was 15 to 20 listed on the Olympus website.

Olympus doesn't base its product offerings on the gear used by its most talented customers. Rather, it chooses Olympus Visionaries who put the company's current product offerings to exemplary use.

Sounds like trouble: Olympus having "reduced vision".  Not so good for a company that makes optical gear.

Maybe Oly need "corrective lenses".  Get those corporate eyeballs examined!  Hope it helps...
