This little lady is busy feeding her baby. I have become her friend and she takes seed from me and scuttles back to the little one and feeds it. I do not normally photograph birds and this is taken with the kit zoom on my 7D. Not an award winner I know, but I hope you like it.
Last week was constantly threatened by rain and very hot, so I stuck with my NEX-5N for birding duties...I've just been shooting this weekend with the A580 but won't get around to those photos until tomorrow, so here are some shots from the NEX last weekend around the wetlands:
It doesn't need to be an award winner: the story is worth a thousand pictures. Thanks for sharing it.
Hi, Justin. While I'll admit to a strong preference for your A580 work, you never disappoint with regard to variety! I like the sandpiper and waterthrush best in this set.
These Caribou are from Bluenose East Herd that migrate through Nunavut.
spring time activity almost starting around here which normally means much more productive outings. Some I'd like to share. The hummingbird shots were all taken in nature which sometimes makes it difficult to get an unobstructed nice view of the bird.

You did have a good week , That Overbird looks like he is gonna Blow-up !
So you have Wild Toucan's flying about ?
Nice Birds = Good Shots
A fine catch - except for the bokeh I've experienced similar with my 70-400mm G II when the background is too close to the subject
I really enjoy your postings because they are always something I've never seen or rarely seen. Nice color and scenery too.
That last one is a beauty! Very rich colors and nice & sharp! Beautiful butterfly.
