Something like the Kodachrome look, sorta, kinda, in a way, maybe?

and just for comparison sake a black and white version using a lot of RED filter.

The others are nice, THIS is outstanding! Some much going on with this image..beautiful clouds and sky, white beach, turquoise water, and the grass in the foreground make it a keeper.

Kodakchrome with CP?

It was really ashame that Kodakchrome had to ended. May be I should used the Kodakchrome filter in the Z990 more.

well yes, I agree with you...it is a gorgeous landscape. Maybe that's how I slipped up and posted it as an example of Kodachrome. Especially when you look at the original file.

Thanks for this photo and link...it's just awesome. The colors are so rich and real! I knew (guessed correctly) where this photo was taken as my mom grew up in S. California on a dairy. She was in her early 20's when a few of her girl friends got a job at the Douglas aircraft plant during early WWII. It's one of the reasons that Long Beach grew so quickly as people (mostly women) arrived from all over the US to work and help out our war effort. I'm always amazed at the resilience and "can do" attitude we had back then. We were completely united in our purpose. It was indeed our greatest generation.
