D200 Street Beach Portraits 85mm 1.4D

Walking along a beach-road in the UK, many people having pick-nicks in the recent heat-wave, this couple kindly agreed to have their photo taken.

D200 Does a great job of showing a recent skin tan.

Quiet thoughts!

How to look lovely with a mouth full of food!

This was the first time I saw a bubble pipe outside in the UK, They were inhaling a fruit mixture steam, I missed proper focus on the following shot, but it sets the scene. John

Very nice Sexy couple (mainly the girl)

People shouldn't be afraid to post photos from their much "older" camera.

Keep those photos coming!

Thanks Andrew, Converted from raw, a little unsharp mask, that's it, sometimes I tweak exposure a little but not often.

Nice portraits, just shows it is the photographer that is the most important tool and not the newest dslr!

Cheers,

Jeff

Thanks Jeff, The 85 1.4D helps, I like shallow DOF photography very much, but I have been surprised by how often the extra 3/4 stop has saved the shot, and the bokeh is everything I expected and then some.

For those considering the 85G don't rule this lens out, for a few hundred dollars more, you sacrifice a fraction of sharpness, and get a boatload of creativity. It is already the sharpest lens I have owned, including the Nikon 50mm and the 80-200 2.8 at 80. As Thom says this is not a lens that can be tested on flat charts due to a curved Dof  at wide settings.
