Fantastic item - upgrade to DP Merrill camera
1

I purchased one of Richard Franiec's custom grips for my Sigma DP2 Merrill and was very impressed when I received it yesterday. The fit and finish was perfect. Made of a very durable aluminum with matte black finish. Vastly improves the handling of the camera. Highly recommended accessory if you have a Merrill camera.

Hi Rick.
I may have to get hold of one of those grips as I especially like your photo of the grips and really right stuff bracket.
It gives the DP series a bit if a wow factor and more importantly better ergonomics.

Kind regards Lea.

Nothing. I just wondered.

Joining DPReview and start a review on an aux. grip I just bought would never cross my mind.

Yes, can't really imagine now using my DP2M without this grip. It just sits so nicely and fits so well and improves handling of the camera so much that I believe that this is a must accessory for every DPxM user.

Roland, that was my fault.

Just to satisfy your curiosity: The poster sent me an Email with quite enthusiastic feedback upon receiving the accessory. He was delighted to the point that he has asked me where would be the best place to share his impression about the grip. I obliged suggesting the best Sigma gear forum on the Internet, hoping at the same time that he will find a lot of useful info regarding all about Sigma in friendly and helpful environment. That's all. BTW, in his follow up he is considering purchasing also DP3M now.

Regards

Richard

I still have the original DP1, the DP2x, the DP2M and DP3M as well as the Sony RX100. All with Richard`s grips. Highly recommended as they improve the handling of theses cameras substantially.

Re: Fantastic item - upgrade to DP Merrill camera

I have a DP2M with Richard's grip, but I have no opinion on how much better the camera is to use with the grip.

(Richard sold me one of his test DP2M's with the grip already on it)

Thanx for the info!!

Yes, then I do understand. I got somewhat bewildered there for a while.

And to be absolutely clear - I have no problems whatsoever with this. I was just perplexed.
