Which calibrator for the Dell U2713HM?
I haven't kept up to date with the latest monitor calibrator. I use to have a X-Rite iDisplay 2, but I have since sold it. Now I'm looking for a calibrator to not only calibrate the Dell U2713HM, but also a desktop scanner as well. A MacBook Air may also required calibration in the future. I read about the ColorMunki, but I'm not sure if that's recommended or whether it's capable of meeting my needs right now. Comments?
For the scanner you need a software and an IT8 target http://www.filmscanner.info/en/Scannerkalibrierung.html
For the monitor, a Spyder4 or i1Display Pro/Munki will do the job.
I recommend the Spyder4Pro or Spyder4Elite, not the Express. The Pro and Elite have an advanced mode which will give you graphical guides that help you manually adjust the monitor's brightness, contrast, and individual R, G, & B values. Doing this will give you the highest quality and longest lasting color calibration.
