Super Moon - NX1000 w/ 50-200mm

Anyone else capture the Super Moon? It didnt seem all that much larger to the eye, but the pictures came out better than before.

I really did want to take photos of it but unfortunately where I live the moon was covered by clouds until late at which point I gave up and went to bed.

Super moon through my telescope.

I also got Saturn via prime focus with my Cam, had to clean it up a bit in Lightroom and crop though. Hoping to tweak some setting and get some better planetary photography. Looked about 20x more detailed (and bigger ) through my scope with various eye pieces.  Still VERY awesome though.

I missed the moon due to cloud cover. That is a great shot and nicely exposed if you dont mind me saying so.

One of the moons on this thread is upside down, or is that a hemisphere thing, confused.....

That would be because it was through my Celestron 130 SLT, reflector telescope. Telescopes often invert images, which isn't a big deal when you're looking at space because it is all relative.

Interesting, its got me thinking though,  if i took a picture of the moon from the north pole, would it be upside down compared to a picture taken from the south pole?

Thanks To be fair, I did convert to B&W and some other refinements in LR.

Re: Super Moon - NX1000 w/ 50-200mm

Im glad some people are posting of the 'supermoon'. Sunday night was overcast for me. But I read that the 'full moon' will hang around for most of the week. So im hoping to partake in catching the moon.

The shots posted so far are impressive. Keep em coming.

Who's to say the moon is right side up and we are all upside down

hehehe, its good to know that photo editing software can keep us all in the same orientation.

Goes without saying, makes it even better, imo, that you have processed it well too.
