suggest manual lens for milky way
Me to shoot long exposure without causing trailing stars due to automatic matching of earth rotation speed , assuming I set things up correctly?
Yes you got it. Getting a mount setup to match the earth's rotation is harder than it sounds. But with a widefield lens it only really needs to get somewhat close so its not that touchy compared to a telescope which needs extreme precision.
