Yes, I bought it from them at the end of March, and it is excellent!

Highly recommended.

Re: Have you seen this RX1 grip?

If they had made it a slot at the tripod screw, it could adjust length wise for several cameras, like my rx100. A wide slot with a retainer would move side to side and front to back.

what material, metal or plastic, is the bottom piece? do you think it could be modified for the rx100?

The openning next to the tripod screw is made to allow access to the battery/memory card door. Unless you want to mount and dismount this every time you need to change battery/SD card you would not want to mod this for other cameras.

I believe the whole piece is made out of aluminum hence the $120 price. It would probably add too much bulk and weight for most RX100 owners.

Very good card and battery access, even when mounted to a tripod.

It is light, comfortable, and sleek. A perfect match for my Sirui T-025 Tripod!

Re: Have you seen this RX1 grip?

IMHO there are better alternatives.  Take a look at the RRS version .  I have one and the overall appearance, lines/shape, modular design, longer base plate all have an advantage.  It's more expensive but it is for a nearly $3K camera after all.

I second that. I went all out for the L-plate as well.
