What size step-down ring?

Hi, I've got a M.Zuiko Digital 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 II Telephoto Zoom and M.Zuiko Digital 12-50mm f3.5-6.3 Standard lens for my OM-D and have bought three 58mm Hoya filters which fit fine with the telephoto lens. For the 12-50, I bought a 58-52mm step-down ring wrongly thinking that filter size is the same as I needed for the 52mm step-down. The 58-52 is too big for the 12-50 lens as it is the same diameter as the front of the lens, not the size of the thread to screw the step-down ring into.

Can someone please advise on what size step-down ring I should purchase to go from my 58mm filters to fit on the front of the 12-50 lens?

Thanks...David

Re: What size step-down ring?

You need a step up ring - 52mm - 58mm.

The ring you have probably looks like this:

But the ring you need looks like this (for example):
