Galaxy S4 - best details in photographs

This is the first phone that I seriously considering actually using to take pictures.  Just switched from Iphone 4S.

4mm focal length

4mm focal length will certainly provide a ton of DOF - as you show in your photos. Thanks. I see some special uses for this smart phone. 13 mp combined with 4 mm focal length certainly opens up a few doors.

Re: Galaxy S4 - best details in photographs

The photos look very nice.  Some people are complaining about overheating problem with the S4, have you experienced such issues with yours?

"Reports claim that Samsung Galaxy S4 can get up to 27 degrees Celsius when idle or simply lying down, 35 degrees during Internet browsing or checking Emails and up to 40 degrees processing a game. One owner even used an Infrared thermometer, revealing that the device has a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius."

Re: Galaxy S4 - best details in photographs

I had the phone only for 5 days but it does get pretty warm during use, my former Iphone 4s runs much cooler.   Getting warm does not concern me that much as many electronic devices get warm with use.

Warmest when charging

The warmest I ever fell my S4 is when I am charging it. Even then, it's not bad.

Shutter speed of 10,000/sec

I wonder under what conditions one would get this shutter speed? White beach on a bright sunny day at high noon??? I know "Action Sports" doubles the shutter speed by doubling the ISO, but 1/10,000 is awfully damn quick! Dimly lit interiors are obviously another story. I assume we are dealing with a fixed aperture. I can't see any other way.

I like the idea of making the volume button a shutter release buttonĀ - by menu. This will take care of a lot of camera shake. Also the voice command mode might be interesting - and obnoxious!

I am so curious what talented photographers might do with this smart phone (camera).
