Few recent shots with G3 & 100-300

The goslings live in my neighborhood.  The pictures are a couple weeks old.  They are a LOT bigger now (probably because my neighbors constantly feed them bread!)

Very nice pictures! What sort of goose are they? Did you lose any goslings over their early life - my local group went down from 8 to 6 in five days. Don't know what got to them, the parents seemed very attentive.

great pics - they made me smile.  we recently found a flock of geese live fairly near us, but so far, no goslings.

Thanks, glad you liked them.  These are Canada geese.  I thought it strange that they breed in South Carolina instead of Canada but I read online that some geese have crossbred with a non-migrating species, so after they've come south for the winter they just stay permanently.  Apparently they're the bane of golf courses all over Florida too

There are 4 separate mating pairs in our neighborhood with a total of 22 goslings, and suprisingly not a single one has been lost (the families are 8 chicks, 7, 4, and 3).  We have plenty of predators around - owls, hawks, alligators, raccoons... not to mention dogs and cats.  The parents are aggressive and mean as hell, but I guess with good reason.

have you got any pictures you can post.  You will get all the help that you need on this forum but you need to show the poor pictures.
