Eagle's nest, EF600 II lens, x1.4 III extender

Less than 20 km from the central square (Jelačić plac) in Zagreb, Croatia there is White - Tailed Eagle's nest. In the nest there are 2 chicks. I didn't want to disturb the birds and all shots & HD video were made from the hidden & masked shelter from ground at distance more than 100 meters. The nest is located close to the top of 25 meters high tree. To go in and out of the shelter I used the moment when both parents were out of nest in search of food. With EF 600mm II lens and x1.4 III extender on tripod I followed them during a day. Only a clip in HD video was done with 7D and all the rest with 5DIII.

Very nice, it's great to hear that the White-tailed Eagles are nesting in your area, here in Greece they are only to be seen in the winter in the north, but I don't think that they are nesting anywhere. Good also they way you approach them, because disturbance is the least thing they need during the nesting period.
