I like that sunset. Very nice post-processing, especially on the clouds.

This lens is very easy to use. One minute a macro shot, a tight face shot the next, then a superwide ... What can be easier?  However, to get the best quality some extra care is needed due to its softer images.  When I said "challenge", I meant also the challenge of taking good photos, artistic photos, photos of that particular moment, i.e. things that do not rely on a super expensive and sharp lens but that require a good photographer.

BTW, I want to again thank everyone for your contribution, even though I have not done individually and commented on each photo, as I do not want to clutter up this thread too much.  Always nice to see photos with the same lens in a series and to learn what others can do and learn from them.

Daydreaming .....

"Daydreaming is a short-term detachment from one's immediate surroundings, during which a person's contact with reality is blurred and partially substituted by a visionary fantasy"

Oh well, it is a nice rose from my garden .....

Here is one I took a couple of days ago. This is the Grand River in Grand Rapids at its peak. Highest level ever.

Picked up the OM-D E-M5 as a lighter setup to carry with me & my 6month old daughter rather than my FF Nikon setup.  First trip with this was a grandparent tour of the Southwest, the 12-50 is a great lens and worked great, I would like a larger aperture so resorted to HDR photos when in low light situations.  I really like the e-m5 for use with pano's & with the 12-50 you can zoom in to capture great detail.

@Lincoln, Beautiful   Thanks for sharing.

@DaveFF, Very nice bokeh and interesting that the water drops are showing the background clearly though tiny.

The 12-50 was the only lens I used on my recent cave tour.  Being weather-resistant sure helped in a 98% humidty cave!  And the flexibility was great!

Re: Show more pictures you took with the 12-50mm lens.

I purchased the camera on October 8, I took this shot on October 9. It was one of my first 80 shots and I barely had any feelings for the control setup.

I took the shot because it was pleasant autumn scene that I encountered on my walk home.

It was shot in raw and developed in adobe camera raw and photoshop. I did manipulate the file to my requirements i.e. selective color enhancement, selective sharpening etc.etc..

It's not one of my best shots, but does give an idea of the lens' capabilities, since I was rather inept with the operating controls.

Warning: I loaded a large original file for those of you who like to check the details.
