Show more pictures you took with the 12-50mm lens.

It was great the last time and we have seen numerous wonderful photos taken with this humble lens.  Show some more.

It rained a lot today. So I went out, with this lens of course, knowing that it will be ready for most situations.  Found a small geranium flower and took it against a yellowing bush.  Handheld, natural lighting and WB, ISO 400.  The E-M5 kit made it so easy, with its IBIS, "macro", and high ISO performance.

A very nice flower shot that clearly illustrates two of the advantages of the 12-50: weather resistance and macro capability.

A very rewarding take everywhere lens.

And the 12-50 with the EM-5's level indicators is also very useful for panoramas:

Very nice backlit closeup. I was out with my E-M5 and 12-50 at the Arboretum this past weekend in some pretty harsh mid-day light..

Geranium, autumn 2013

You are not supposed to pixel peep kit lens photos.

Though not as sharp as the 75mm for sure, but it is still respectable blown up big.

Highly cropped

Awesome snail shot. Shallow DOF.

Also spectacular scenes, mchnz, micronean and Paul.

Thanks, All.

Keep them coming.

Here's a few people photos taken with the E-PL5 and the 12-50
1

These were taken at a social function for a very popular local Sheriff - images are nothing special in terms of composition (because of the sheer numbers of folks present and their moving rapidly), but it does show the sharpness and contrasts of the lens.  Images taken at ISO 640 and the FL-50 in bounce mode using the Gary Fong Lightsphere cap on top.

Although I was well aware of both the negative and luke-warm comments regarding this lens over the past year, I still elected to get one - and I'm glad that I did.  This lens is a sleeper.  Noooo, it does not have the clarity of a prime, but it is a superb lens that covers a pleasing 24 on the wide end to 100 on the long end.  I'm stoked and have ordered another one.

That's the ticket!

Wow.   Excellent photography displayed here.

The 12-50 isn't as crisp out of the box as some other lenses - it just requires a little post-coaxing to get results that impress.   You've exhibited this point with great finesse.   Respect.

Here's one with the EM-5. The lens was in macro mode. It was manipulated in PS with motion blur and some vibrance.

Best

Soviet Foxtrot Class Sub

Taken inside the sub. You can see a torpedo on the left. Done at 20mm, available light and a rambunctious 2yr old grandson taking off up the ladder. The kit locked on quickly and I didn't even think about adjusting EV. It is a very good lens when you are doing day trips with youngsters. Luca
