The Moon and Panasonic 100-300mm

I decided to buy this lens this week as I wanted some more reach.
Using the GH3 I switched electronic shutter on, lens wide open and ISO 200 then used wifi and lumix link whist sat indoors waiting for the cloud to clear.

I like this combo!

Nice job. I love that lens and use it very frequently for wild life.  The detail in your shot is excellent.

Lumix Link is an app, available via the Apple App Store that connects, via WiFi, to the GH3 and allows you to control the camera.

Thanks, have you upscaled yours?  I'm trying to work out why it's bigger (pixel-wise).
Thanks

Re: The Moon and Panasonic 100-300mm

Great shot Pual, how have you sharpened yours?  It looks very sharp without artifacts - have you done some form of high pass sharpening (I am to ruling out technique in taking the initial shot by the way!  It just looks like you have a technique for this too)

Thanks

Thanks.

In CS5 I use Sharpener Pro 3: http://www.niksoftware.com/nikcollection/usa/index.php?view=sharpenerpro%2Fmain.shtml

Then when I decide what size the final image will be I run it through Photokit output sharpener: http://www.pixelgenius.com/PKS2-PR/Whats-New.html

After quite a while using these two I've managed to find out exactly how the sliders affect the image.

Re: The Moon and Panasonic 100-300mm

I have never tried the sharpener parts of Nik despite having had the full kit for a few years...  I guess I should give it a go sometime - anyway, great shot!
