Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 not seeing D5100
Just purchased a copy of CCP2 from Amazon and installed on a windows 8 laptop.
The D5100 is listed as supported on Nikon's website...but the software does not see the camera.
This is odd since the D5100 does show up as a device (like attached storage) in Windows.
I purchased this software to trigger and/or adjust my D5100 attached to a telescope for astro-photography. Its quite disappointing that it did not work out of the box.
Many thanks for any suggestions you may have.
Have you read the instruction book that came with your camera about teathering? You may have to change a setting in your menu.
I had Issues with other brands of software and my D200. I ended up settling on Nkremote. It sync's every time and from the small handful I tested, it is the fastest at showing images on screen. Do you have lightroom? LR4 can do teather..
