5 shot in-camera HDR panorama. SX50HS
5 in-camera HDR exposures from a tripod, stitched in PhotoMerge in PhotoShop Elements 11 using the cylinder option, then cropped, the horizon pulled straight using the distortion tools, and final processed in Lightroom. View it as large as your monitor will go.
When the runner walked into the 4th frame, I thought "Oh no. Now I have to start over." but I am glad I left him there. He adds interesting scale.
Love the pano. And the runner definitely adds an element of scale in there.
Nicely done, Stephen! I think the runner's orange outfit also adds a touch warmth to the blue tones of water and sky for a very pleasing scene. Another gift from the photo gods. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent composition, thank you for sharing!
Another poster was asking about getting a wide angle adaptor for the SX50 and I suggested using panoramas instead. Your wonderful image is timely and I hope that poster sees it as well.
Stephen, I meant to mention that I have done a few multi-photo panos hand held with the SX50 and processing them with Photomerge also with good results. Recently I did a vertical pano with Texas bluebonnet wildflowers in the forground(at the bottom), a white church in the middle ground and blue sky with white clouds in the background(at the top). It turned out pretty darn good also.
Good panorama affect, Nice shot
