Comet feast!

I just have to join in. Many stellar images being posted of the PanSTARRS now. I noticed that there was a very slightly cooler color in the comet's tail than in Andromeda, so I chose to enhance it!

Canon 60Da, Leica Elmarit R 180mm f.4.0, 800ISO, 16 x 2 min. exposures

You certainly do need to join in, and thank you for posting this excellent image. This turned out to be a wonderful close pass. All the better that the earliest claim to fame for two of them is that they are notcomets.

Thanks for posting your great image - three galaxies and a cometary visitor from the far reaches of the solar system. I like how you've emphasized their color differences. Were your adjustments applied selectively or applied to the entire image?

I've seen another image of M31 (by Robert Gendler) which shows a magenta cast to M31's core, while the outer arms were more bluish. Your work is a different take on these objects.
