Nikon SB600 Speedlight - multiple flashes

Can anyone tell me if the SB600 is cable of firing multiple flashes when set up remotely, please. (only one unit/slave) ?

Using CLS, it can't be used as a commander, only as a slave. It can be fired by a pop up flash.

In manual mode it can be used to trigger any number of flashes equipped with an optical slave set to SU-4 mode. SB900 and SB80dx are two that spring to mind.

I probably used the wrong terminology. Meant repeating flashes for bird photos.

LOL yeah, my mistake. Yes, it can fire bursts or 'repeat' flash (during a singe exposure)
