Shot with O-GPS 1
Just received my Pentax O-GPS 1 module today. I tried calibration and although it came out with the message that it was not completed correctly, finally the 3D indication did appear in the display. I shot this photo on my terrace and GPS data were recorded appropriately.
Here is the photo:
GPS data were retained in Adobe Bridge. I am curious to see whether they are retained for the web, too.
Tell me, what was your own purpose of buying it? Was it for GPS metadata only?
I would love to get one for astrophotography although they are very expensive!

GPS data recording and Astrophotography are my equally shared objectives. As for the cost, I found it in ebay new, for €200 (pricey a bit, I agree)
It's well worth it if you get great astro shots! It means you can use less expensive lenses at smaller apertures for maximum sharpness so in a way it pays for itself or actually saves money.
All you have to do is get far away from light pollution (from Athens?) and the cosmos is your oyster!

This is quite an impressive set of photos, David! Is this bright star, followed by 3 dots, Jupiter and its larger satellites? Can you tell focal length and exposure time?
I thought it was Venus, the exposures were, 45 secs F4 ISO 400-800 @ 50mm, Sigma 50-150mm F2.8.
