Nikon Fm10

Hi my pentax spotmatic lightmeter broke and instead of searching for an external one i was looking at  the nikon fm10.  Anyone have experience with one?  should i invest or not?  I love film and really want to shoot it again!!!

The FM-10 is a good basic entry level camera. It is not up to the build quality as the FM2, but it works as a decent film SLR. It is made by Cosina for Nikon as it has the same build and internal components as the Ricoh KR5 Super II and KR5-III.

I'd look for the Ricoh models used as you can find them cheap. I picked up one that looks unused and came with a 50mm f/1.7 lens for $30. It has the Pentax K mount so you can find loads of lenses on the cheap.

I'd try to find a good used FM2 or FM3a instead.

But even used, I guess, they come more expensive than the FM 10.

Shouldn't be, if you look for an FM2 or FE2. But you could also look for a used Pentax if you liked your old one.
