Canon Sx160 is battery info.

I am trying to find the page in the manual so that I can display how much battery life is left.

Can some one tell me the page #?

Thanks

My bad, I thought you were looking for shot capacity. The battery icon will show up for a few seconds when the camera is powered on.

I doubt if it is a great deal of use if you do find it. These battery indicators are notoriously unreliable and only indicate that the battery is about to fail soon if less than full. Also perversely I have found with the SX130 it may show a low battery reading with alkalines when there is plenty of life left.

Best to make sure you have spares. The answer IMHO is there is no real way of telling how much battery life is left.

My SX150 and SX40 both will show full charge for the longest time while, for hundreds of shots.  Then when they show less than full charge, I have only twenty or thirty shots left before the battery is exhausted.

There are battery technologies that are used in DSLRs that show a gradual decline in battery capacity so you know where you are.  But I am guessing those battery technologies cost significantly more so they are not seen in lower priced cameras.
