100D/SL1 is not that small

Technically, no it isn't. It has the same Toshiba silicon, but the package of the D5200 includes the rear section of the AA filter, while the D7100 sensor package doesn't. That does make for a very slight performance difference. The 24MP D3200 sensor is different again, it is a Nikon sensor - not quite as good as the Toshiba ones, but still quite OK.

I was actually aware of that. And I was using that point out the error that assuming since two sensors have the same megapixels that they are the same sensor.

All I'm doing is introducing a few factual facts. It was you that chose to indtroduce a Nikon camera into a thread about the size of Canon cameras, why was that?
