X100s samplemovie anyone? anywhere?

It would be interesting how the videofunctionality especially in low light with the x100s fares.

The only video i was able to find was at photographyblog but it isn´t low light.

With continued delivery of the camera it shouldn´t be too hard to source a short movie...?

Hi Oger,

I uploaded one more video for you, here is the link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_0BkwXhUoQ&feature=youtu.be

What do you think of the quality? Good enough? Do you know if X100S is using AVCHD2, I found that the extension is .mov instead of .mts so I'm wondering which format they are using.

Cheers.

Hi

Thanks again for uploading!

The problem with youtube is, that is uses compression. so one can´t really judge the entire quality of the output from the camera.

Vimeo might be better in that aspect.

But there seems to be very little noise in the film. That was what I wanted to see...

As far as I know the cam doesn´t support AVCHD. So files are rather large.

Probably not a very versatile movie camera after all.

Will still buy it though!

A fixed non-stabilized lens camera is a rather poor choice as a video platform.  Given the small niche that this camera fills, OVF/EVF, I doubt that many will consider video performance when making this purchase.

That said, I did consider video when deciding to purchase my NEX-7 vs. X-Pro1.

NEX-7 wins hands down, except for the overheating issue.

Hi Oger,

I uploaded a new video to my youtube, feel free to check it.

Vimeo upload is tad slow so at the moment, Youtube first.

Thanks.
