Fujifilm FinePix 4700 Zoom review

Small, light, very very very quick, sexy beast.

Came down to a choice between this and the Canon S20, and I prefered the look, feel, weight, speed, interface and more manual control on the 4700Z.

Excellent colour saturation results; people look like people (rather than freezing cold - i.e. blue cast on the S20).

I've seen many derogatory reviews of this camera, and it's sCCD (inc. those from the writers of this site), and the arguments are all based on the S20 "...having more real pixels". I really do feel that these people should take a look at the Fuji website and read about the Super CCD; what it is; why it was needed; how it works; and what it gives us. It's a great deal more than just simply resolution - resolution is just one of many factors that influence the overall image quality, and the sCCD seems to be damned good at its job.

Flash popup-button needs to be pressed hard - or is this just my machine?

Have to re-learn to hold a camera.

Think I might get hit by someone soon in London as I keep taking pictures of people and things
