Epson PhotoPC 800 review

Im very happy with this camera. Its fast and easy to use, even though the autofocus is a bit on the slow side. Very good optical viewfinder (90%), which makes it possible to shoot most photos without the use of the big LCD(which saps the power out of the batteries in minutes!). The big main LCD takes time to start up. Its good to have many buttons when you want to change ISO setting, exposure compensation, image resolution etc. The only thing lacking really, is the image quality which isnt quite up to date anymore. My 3 megapixel Olympus is a BIG step up. The lens can be a bit soft at largest aperture (F2.4). Images taken with good light are a lot sharper. The colours are mostly good with a few really bad white balance misses. Overall a nice little camera!

Heavy battery consumer. At first the image downloading software crashed on my computer. I downloaded a newer version and it worked better.
