Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P1 review

Resolved my battery problems with the P1: I have used the Sony DSC-P1 for almost 2 years and took almost 10'000 pictures so far. The quality of the pictures is surprisingly good in good light condition, shooting clear flash pics in dark rooms can be tricky. The P1 was a very nice way to get introduced into digital photography and I am currently looking to upgrade for a more sophisticated model.

Problems:

As many others I encountered BATTERY problems within the first year. I complained about it to Sony but they told me that I must have charged it the wrong way. I bought a second battery and an external CHARGER for my car. - I found out that when charging the battery directly in the camera there were almost always problems. However, when I used up the batteries completely and recharged them with the external car charger they usually worked perferctly. This way I am still using the first 2 batteries even after almost 10'000 picutures taken and I guess they may last for quite a while.
