Fujifilm FinePix 2600 Zoom review

I bought a refurbished one from Buy.com during one of their 4 hour sales under $130. In my opinion this is the deal of the century! This is a great point and shoot camera. One of the better ones in it's class regardless of price. The camera and outstanding cycle times and very low click to shutter delay. The only knock is mediocre low light sensitivity so indoor shooting in poor lighting conditions is not this camera's strong point.

I did experience a few startup problems. 1. The instruction manual says to clean the battery contacts and your battery surfaces. Follow this advice! The contacts seem to be very sensitive to any finger oil or any other contaminant. Once clean the camera runs flawlessly. 2. The battery/SmartMedia door on the bottom of the camera is very fragile and can sometimes open inadvertantly if you put your thumb down there to hold the camera. I recommend using a small amount of double sided velcro to prevent this.
