Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P9 review

This unit was purchased to replace my original Olympus Stylus "toss-around" camera. After reading some of the reviews here, it seems that before you purchase any camera, evalutate your intended use. This isn't a professional camera, but it outstanding in its category and occasionally astounding in what it can deliver. Take some time to experiment with the different modes - you'll be surprised at what you can acheive. Image quality is excellent - though if you're going to evaluate chromatic aberration and the like you need to cough up some dough and move on to a more qualified unit. It's easy to use and tranfer time is good for a camera in this price range. Highly recommended.

Battery life is good, but an off-board charger is key. Not being able to charge batteries while shooting (unless you're plugged in) is a hassle.
