Konica KD-400 Zoom review

This was my first digital camera. At the time I bought it, December 2002, it was the best or second in its class and the also best buy in its class. Since then, Canon released its S400, matching the Konica and easily surpassing it in image quality and features. I paid only $30 more for the Canon ($385), making the Canon the new best buy. Still, it's a nice camera, just no longer the best in its class. It is definitely lacking in features and the picture quality is not as good as the Canon.

The construction though is unmatched, you don't need a case. I've dropped it on concrete and it functions fine.

The 15 second movie clip time leads something to be desired.

In darker settings, the red eye is severe enough it cannot be corrected by photoshop.
