Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P32 review
I had a F717 but needed a small portable camera to bring with me. I dont like telescooping lenses so I went for a fixed focal length model. Since I already have Memory Sticks the P32 was the natural choice. The camera also takes standard AA size batteries (R6) which are cheap and also works with alkaline batteries. Its made from plastic but still pretty good feel.
GOOD: small, rather light, cheap, fast AF and general operation(ultra fast startup time), fairly powerful flash, good wideangle coverage(also con), high res movies 640x480 with good sound, speaker for playing movies in camera!, AA batteries
BAD: low res LCD(61kpixels), not very powerful macro!, occasional overexposures, lens very soft in the far left side of the image, movies "blocky" from too high compression
Overall I am very pleased with this little "pocket buddy"!
The lens is very soft far left.
