Konica KD-500 Zoom review
Excellent buy for $338 at Sam's Club. This little camera is a lot more than the specs would lead one to expect. The auto-focus works well, even in the macro mode (just took some product shots). The resolution is excellent, and the contrast is very high. There may be too much in camera processing for some, but for the intended market, this is a good thing (most DSLRs have less sharpening and contrast, as well as saturation as the default). Fast, small, light, and easy to use - the perfect travel camera and at $338, an excellent buy.
Too much distortion at the wide angle end - you need to be careful when composing you wide angle shots to avoid straight objects (which will distort) near the edges.
The new Konica-Minolta (USA) website does not provide support for the Konica line - hey, whats up Minolta?
