Olympus D-40 Zoom (C-40 Zoom) review

This was the fourth digital camera I bought. The camera is rather compact and easy to carry along in my purse. It is also rather sturdy. I think it is also quite ugly but aesthetics is not a reason for me to buy or not to buy a camera. The camera has a full manual mode, which is advantageous for the amibitious amateur and enables the photographer to manually set a lot of parameters. It accompanied me on several travels (see my website at www.gdiekert.de: the photographs from Belgium were made with this camera!). A nice camera with a good image quality and little weaknesses (see below).

- Battery life could be better. It is recommended to use the viewfinder rather than the LCD as often as possible
- The optical zoom range could be better
