After spending months comparing reviews on this Forum
I decided to buy the Sony DSC-V1 for one major reason:
fantastic image quality. I have onwed the camera for a few
months and find that it performs well for each and every
shot. Presently I shoot using the auto functions.
Much has been written in this Forum about the ergonomic
challenges of this camera and the mickey mouse feel of the
camera. I am sorry to report that I also find the camera too
small and too lightweight. Someone in this Forum
mentioned that Sony should consider replacing the lithium
battery with AA batteries to give the camera some weight - I
agree. We don't live in a perfect world, so for now, I am
content to have a camera that is too small and too light but
that takes exceptionally sharp, colorful and rich photos each
and every time. Example of indoor shot using auto setting
and no pro flash.

Re: accessories from Sony
After taking several indoor shots, I realized that a pro flash
was in order. I called Sony and placed an order and was
informed that my pro flash would arrive in two months!
"You'll have it by Easter." I thought they were kidding. Well,
Easter has come and gone and I still haven't received the
pro flash.
