I am a pro user testing two Dynax 7D with Vertical Control Grip VC-7D.
The grip has space for two Lithium-Ion NP-400 batteries. The cameras
were supplied with the BC-400 Lithium-Ion Battery Chargers as the
standard accessory.
Controls are great, the anti-shake feature has been well tested with a
300mm telephoto and the LCD screen is the most compehensive I have
worked with.
Problems:
Pro users will not survive normal working day demands with a single
battery and a toy size charger that can charge only one battery at the
time at a miserly 700mA. This excellent tool requires a double or
foursome battery charger for the NP-400s.
As an alternative I am testing the AA inserts supplied with the grip, with
two sets of six Ni-MH rechargeable heavy duty Japanese made batteries
rated at 1800mA charged on a Japanese professional computer
controlled variable Voltage/Current charger which can charge 20
batteries at the same time. I will post comparative test in about 4 weeks.
