Pentax Optio S30 review

This really is a truly fantastic camera for the price (you can pick one up on amazon for £99!) - truly pocketable and light without feeling flimsy. The metal body feels far more expensive than it is and lends to a real quality feel on this camera. The image quality is outsanding for such a tiny camera/lens, with the only problem being slight softness in the corners of the image. The video mode is also excellent and produces some of the best results I have seen on any digicam! (granted I haven't seen too many others but i've used the sony dsc-v1 a fair bit and the s30 beats it hands down)
Just the right amount of manual features for the keen novice (I bought it as a present for my sister who's 13 and she's got the hang of it within a week).

Slight softness of images due to such a small lens
No shutter/aperture control
