Olympus Stylus Verve (mju mini Digital) review
An awesome comapct "point and shoot" camera.
I chose this as I was looking for a compact point and shoot camera, and as such it's great.
It gives me a couple of extra features (spot metering, iso selection, super macro to name a few) while still looking stylish and weighing very little. The best thing I've found is the low compression jpeg mode which no other cameras I compared it to could offer.
It feels comfortable for me to hold, and the shutter and zoom buttons are positioned so it can be operated with one hand.
The flash fills nicely at a range of 1-3 metres, but takes a couple of seconds to recharge.
This camera might not have all the features of some others around, but value for money as a simple point & shoot it gets a big thumbs up from me
I admit that it softens images in the higher compression jpeg modes, if you have a large XD card and use the low compression mode that is not an issue.
slow flash recharge time compared to other li-ion powered cameras I've used.
