Sony Cyber-shot DSC-L1 review
I have been using the L1 for several months now. While I agree with the pros
and cons posted by other users, I want to add some more:
Pro: I use to take this with me every time I expect to get some nice shots.
Sometimes cameras are not allowed, but all securities take this as a cell
phone due to its shape when feeling it it your pocket.
Pro: Indicates the exposure time before shot. Some similar cameras don't, so
it's hard to estimate whether the shake warning can be ignored. Also one can
estimate blur do to moves more easily.
Pro: Short focal length is equivalent to 32mm for 35mm film. Similar models
start at 38 or 39mm, which is too much. I'm not interested in a super-tele with
cameras of this type, but at the lower end every mm counts.
Con: One has to enter the setup to switch red eye reduction on/off. This should
be part of the flash mode sequence.
Con: The charger is too big. I would accept slower charging if the charger was
much smaller. Also the odd shaped plug for the charger prevents one from
using multi purpose power supplies, which may be used for other gadgets as
