Kodak EasyShare Z730 review

This camera is very little more than a DX7440 equipped with a 5 mp sensor. The body and features are basically identical while the timings are a fraction of a second slower, not really significant. Burst mode does 5 shots instead of 6 with the DX7440 and, at the same time, the buffer clears maybe 10 seconds sooner. I cannot tell the difference in the pictures whether as small prints or on my 17" LCD monitor.

I gave my DX7440 to a relative and bought the Z730 as a replacement - it's a fine camera but whether it is worth $75 more than a new (and now discontinued) DX7440 is an open question.

Given the similarities of the cameras, it might be a good idea for those interested in the Z730 to read the many reviews of the DX7440.
