Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 review

My candidate for "camera of the year 2005". Bought as a "mom"-camera to
complement my Nikon 8800. New firmware was already installed. Both cameras
has 8 Mpix and both cameras captures images with quality well over my
expectations. To my suprise, the X1 has less chromatic aberation than the 8800
at the same zoom-level. The X1 represents a new camera-thinking. Example 1:
Low max-ISO is compensated by the anti-shake giving equivalent 2 to 3 xtra F-
stops. Example 2: The cradle is used for simultanious view of images taken, de-
charge of images and charge of power. Example 3: No need for optical
viewfinder because of design and the big and clear image-panel. Example 4: No
need to buy more than 256 Mbytes picture card which hold about 120 images
as the power-cell holds power for about 150 shots. The X1 in reallity has no
competitors yet; but the price is competitive: The X1 Hugo Boss leather case
edition was about 500 US-dollar incl 25 % VAT late October 2005 in
