Canon PowerShot SD550 (Digital IXUS 750 / IXY Digital 700) review

What can i say? this camera is absolutely awesome, i still own an old powershot s400 which i still use underwater. but there is no comparison with the features, images and even battery life.
and the movie mode has to be seen to be beleived. that was the major reason i upgraded as i was quite happy with my s400's pictures.

with a 150X 2Gig SD card, everything flies.
Highly recommended.
waiting to see how well the Image Stabilaisation works on the newer models before i change my mind.
even then, itll be a long time off

Problems:

none.
except one time where at a party i kept turning the camera back on when the battery was too low and turning the camera off.

i learned the hard way that the lens mechanism can and will get stuck when battery is depleted.
saw the dreaded e18 error and started having nightmares.
but, a couple of emails to tech support at canon. who were AWESOME! and i had to ship it back to them.
but even after all the agony, the fact that canon fixed it in 4 days and shipped it back to me via 2day fedex is way more than i expected.
Top notch quality and service from a brand ive grown to love.
